Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the Golden Sun Dark Dawn review, although at this point it is going to be so late xD Hopefully, I will also have a special end of the year post, so please look forward to that.

Namie Amuro – Break It / Get Myself Back
1. Break It
2. Get Myself Back
3. Break It (Instrumental)
4. Get Myself Back (Instrumental)
I wasn’t sure if I was going to review this, or any more Namie releases but as you may as well know already, I have in fact decided to. It’s taken me a while but I’m finally reviewing this single so let’s get going.
“Break It” is actually a really cool track. The kind of grungier electric guitar and heavy beats and synth with a hint of funk give it a really cool sound. When I first heard this song I felt that it sounded similar to select songs from PAST < FUTURE, but don’t get me wrong, this song sounded unique and catchy as hell. Also check out the video, totally Tron themed.
Score – 9
“Get Myself Back” is a pretty nice ballad in the vein of The Meaning Of Us. I’m absolutely in love with the soft lead up to the chorus which is really melodic and flows really well with Namie’s vocals and the synth. I also really liked the “Woah ohh ohh oohh” at the end of each chorus.
Score – 9
Final Note
I’m really glad I reviewed this and added Namie to the blog. I look forward to her next release.

Crystal Kay – Journey ~Kimi to Futari de~
1. Journey ~Kimi to Futari de~
2. HOLD ON
3. Journey ~Kimi to Futari de~ (Instrumental)
I really loved the whole beginning of “Journey ~Kimi to Futari de~” and the synth and the melody that continues throughout the song. The chorus is where the song stands out. I really liked the atmosphere Crystal creates with her voice and I love the feelings it evokes.
Score – 8.5
“HOLD ON” somewhat surprised me by being in English. It features simple but really effective piano. The vocals were great, naturally, and I liked how involved and stand out the ending of the song was. An excellent B-side.
Score – 9
Final Note
A very good lead up to the new album, I can’t wait for it.

The First December…
12/01/2010 at 7:26 PM | Posted in Blog Posts | Leave a commentWhere I’ve actually gotten Christmas presents for everyone! Huzzah. Even if I rather not be, hooray for being employed! Gosh the end of the year is coming so fast for me, I blame school. But that’s enough of that, let’s see what’s on the agenda for Decembah. Get it? It rhymes. Because I’m from the North East… AHA.
