Brief Hiatus
03/13/2012 at 12:28 PM | Posted in Blog Posts | Leave a commentGoing to take a real mini break on reviews on account of me going on vacation tomorrow. I’ll be gone for 9 days so it’s just a little short one. I’ll have a lot to get together once I get back so you’ll have to bear with me until I get everything in order again.
Just thought I’d let everyone know, and as always, thanks for reading <3
Just To Clear Things Up
01/13/2012 at 11:47 PM | Posted in Blog Posts | Leave a commentA Little Harsh, Gretch.
So you may or may not have noticed that my most recent review of girl next door’s most recent album “Agaruneku” seemed a little on the harsh side, rating-wise, coming from me. And that’s because I’ve come to realize that I rate things a bit too highly. Shocking I know, (sarcasm) of course people have been telling me I’m too forgiving all my life but hopefully I can try to change that, at least with my reviews from here on out.
Unfortunately, it seems as if girl next door suffers from my new found revelation, although I think it’s a great example of how things will be from now on, for example, I can tell you this, had I not come to this realization and made a concious effort to utilize the other end of the rating spectrum, 5 and below, there would have been a lot of 6s and 7s in that review.
New Feature!
You also may or may not have noticed, that in the track listing there are now songs in blue. “What does this mean?” you ask? Recommended Tracks! Whooo. These tracks are either the best the album had to offer, or sometimes it might mean the only tracks you should really even bother with… More often than not, I’d imagine these tracks got an 8 or above, though I’m sure there could be some slight exceptions. This will only ever appear on album track listings just to let you guys know.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy all the more now and again, as always, thanks for reading! <3
P.S. I’ll be working to sort every review by artist so you can simply click and read every review of that artist’s release. It might take a while… Why didn’t I think of this before?
I’m Back…
05/20/2011 at 10:00 PM | Posted in Blog Posts | Leave a commentThat’s really all anyone needs to know, expect a new single review, more than likely GIRL NEXT DOOR’s Silent Scream, to be up tomorrow.
Quick Update

Just decided to post a quick update here since it’s been a while. As my little sidebar news thing says, it’s been hectic for me and I’ve been really busy with school but it’s all about to be over and as soon as it is I will have so much more free time. Therefor I will be updating this blog to the fullest and get back into the swing of things. Also, hopefully I’ll never get so busy again, I really don’t like not posting here.
I’ve also updated a few things such as the Reviewed Artists, Reviewed Games, and Upcoming Reviews pages.
Hope readers are still reading/waiting xD <3
This Update is Late

I mean really late. You know how something’s a little late, so you’re like, “Oh, I have to get that done.” But because it’s late you just put it off and put it off and put it off until it’s really late? Yeah… I do that a little too often.
Square Enix 1st Production Department Premiere Extravaganza

OK, so the last word is mine, but still. This even just went on in Japan and they revealed a whole heap ton of new Square Enix related things, all Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts related. I haven’t felt the need to post and game news for a while, let’s just say this has inspired me.
First the little things, Agito was shown and apparently it’s name has been changed to “Final Fantasy Type-0″ a trailer was shown and it doesn’t show any really new or exciting things.
Dissidia [duodecim] Final Fantasy got some love as well, Yuna was shown off in a new trailer, and it was mentioned that the character Prishe from Final Fantasy XI would be making an appearance as a Cosmos warrior. A few attendees also mentioned that there seemed to be hints of Gilgamesh in the new trailer but they couldn’t be sure, an he did not specifically appear, so who knows about that.
On to the bigger news, Kingdom Hearts 3D has officially been given its final subtitle, and prepare yourself. Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. I have a feeling the subtitle takes strong inspiration or is an allusion to the gameplay styles you will see in the game. An oh yeah, THE TRAILER IS OUT.
The most speculated news turned out to be true after all with Final Fantasy XIII-2 Officially being announced and a short trailer was shown alongside it, as well as the new logo.
The game will supposedly be released THIS YEAR and is for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and it’s being developed for both consoles simultaneously.
And the moment most people have been waiting for finally came. Final Fantasy Versus XIII keeps it’s name the way it is, is still absolutely exclusive to PlayStation 3 and a brand new trailer was show. Not only is it partly voiced, but it’s 6 minutes long and a ton of new scenes are shown as well as gameplay footage.
So this conference ended up being pretty damn informational, the trailers have all been leaked however, official released are soon to follow which is rare for Square Enix. Another rarity is that FFXIII-2 Will be releasing in 2011? Announcing a game the same year it will be released? Almost unheard of for Square. Maybe this is a sign of good things to come. I can only hope that Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance comes out just as quickly.
Nevar
01/03/2011 at 11:03 PM | Posted in Blog Posts | Leave a commentThis is a little late but there are a few reasons. One of which has to do with the title “nevar” which is the Portuguese word for snow. A blizzard hit and I was laptop-less for a while, thankfully I was able to at least squeeze in a new years post. But now I’m back in full and hopefully getting back to posting regularly. This post somewhat mirrors a post I wrote on my Tumblr and I’d like to take this opportunity to direct you to my Tumblr if you’re into that sort of thing.
A Change of Heart / Happy New Year
01/01/2011 at 12:00 AM | Posted in Blog Posts | Leave a commentTags: 2010, review
It’s been a long year and I’ve managed to review a lot of music, but as they say, first impressions aren’t always correct.
So that’s where this post comes in. I’ll be highlighting my “Change of Heart” if you will on 2 songs of 2010. I’ll be giving these 2 songs new ratings, but these are “non-canonical”. One will be good, the other bad.
The Good
MiChi – Strong MAN
I don’t know what the hell I was thinking when I first reviewed this, but this song is great. Definitely a contender for one of MiChi’s best B-sides, I dunno WHAT I was going on about.
Score – 9
The Bad
Angela Aki – Kagayaku Hito
Over time, I’ve grown to really not like this song. After listening to it more and more, I’ve just found it to be boring and I just can’t listen to it. Truly disappointing considering. I suppose I just really expected more from Angela with an acoustic guitar.
Score – 6

Just a small update in honor of the New Year coming up and hopefully I can follow up with my monthly blog post. Have a good night everyone annnd…
Welcome 2011!

Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the Golden Sun Dark Dawn review, although at this point it is going to be so late xD Hopefully, I will also have a special end of the year post, so please look forward to that.

The First December…
12/01/2010 at 7:26 PM | Posted in Blog Posts | Leave a commentWhere I’ve actually gotten Christmas presents for everyone! Huzzah. Even if I rather not be, hooray for being employed! Gosh the end of the year is coming so fast for me, I blame school. But that’s enough of that, let’s see what’s on the agenda for Decembah. Get it? It rhymes. Because I’m from the North East… AHA.
